Newborn babies have this miraculous ability to heal all kinds of hurts and help us to dream again. We see the potential for the future, for legacy, and for love. It was my great honor to photograph baby Emily with her mama and daddy in their first few days of being a family of three. After what was a difficult season of loss in mom, Katie’s family, baby Emily has brought renewed hope and the deepest joy to her and her husband for the days to come. Having to say goodbye to a parent brings unimaginable sorrow that can seem unending, but His mercies are new every morning! I am confident that the wisdom and stories that Katie’s father shared with her will be passed to sweet Emily and through that his legacy will live on. These images exude peace and contentment; and the pride in Katie and Alex’s eyes is evident in the way they gaze at their sweet girl.
