I must say, of all the cyber places you could have ended up, i’m certainly glad you chose to be here. Viewing my site is best accompanied by your choice of beverage; i recommend sweet tea, hazelnut macchiato, or prosecco. That, and 80's music, preferably from the breakfast club soundtrack.

10 Secrets to Balance: Day Designer

March 2, 2015

I’m going to be honest, if you asked me which I would rather lose, my wallet or my planner, I might actually tell you my wallet.

I write down EVERYTHING in my Whitney English Day Designer. Appointments, lists, goals, due dates. I even schedule down time or off days. I keep lists daily of tasks I want to accomplish and write down long terms goals and ways to make them happen.

Having a planner I use daily has helped me find balance because I can look ahead at my obligations and see when busy weeks are coming and be intentional about scheduling downtime or time with Matt. It also makes sure I don’t double book or overextend myself.

It took me a while to find the right planner for me, but if you’re a small business owner or seeking organization in your life, I highly recommend it. My Day Designer was given to me at the Pursuit Conference last fall in a very “Oprah” like moment (and YOU get a Day Designer, and YOU get a Day designer!). Before that, for years I used Lilly Pulitzer and Kate Spade Planners because I thought they were very pretty. The Day Designer is both pretty and very functional! One of my favorite features on the daily calendar is a place to keep up with bills and what things are due that week, which helps me keep our budget in mind.
