I must say, of all the cyber places you could have ended up, i’m certainly glad you chose to be here. Viewing my site is best accompanied by your choice of beverage; i recommend sweet tea, hazelnut macchiato, or prosecco. That, and 80's music, preferably from the breakfast club soundtrack.

It’s Been Quiet

August 26, 2015

Hello, friends.

It’s been quiet here in this space for the last few weeks, and I wanted to update you-dear followers.

I’ve been thinking this year about my business, my brand, what I have to offer my clients, and the art that lights my soul aflame, and what I’ve ultimately decided is I want to focus on what matters. I want this to be a place that highlights love worth waking up and choosing everyday, a place that is dedicated to marriage and motherhood and all the beautiful things in between.

I want to curate a place for my art, both my images and my words. I’m sure you’ve noticed I haven’t written much recently, and I think that has to do with a lie that I’ve been telling myself for a while…that I couldn’t possibly have anything to say of worth to you. So, instead, I have only been posting images and in turn, I’ve lost my voice. Well, that’s changing. I spent some quiet time with God on a remote beach earlier this month and He, as He does, changed my heart on the matter. If the words that pour out of me bring glory to Him, they will never be words wasted. So, this space will, from now on, be a space where my images and words intersect to tell stories and share my heart.

In my time of reflection, I have also decided it’s time for this space to grow up a little bit. The caliber of my images have changed in the last year (Hallelujah, #filmforthewin!) and I really want this space to point to my work, to the heart behind my business, to be more about God and the stories he’s telling through me rather than it being about me. Because, lets face it, it’s never been about me. It’s about Him and the way I can be a reflection of Him by serving and loving my clients well.

So, we won’t call this a “Rebrand,” but rather a “Brand Evolution.” I’m not starting over, but rather moving forward.

Chelsea Petaja, who is an incredible artist, has created this print specifically for my clients. When I received the final product, I knew it would be the inspiration behind the new brand.

Chelsea and I will be revealing the new logo later this fall and I can’t wait to share it with you!
