I must say, of all the cyber places you could have ended up, i’m certainly glad you chose to be here. Viewing my site is best accompanied by your choice of beverage; i recommend sweet tea, hazelnut macchiato, or prosecco. That, and 80's music, preferably from the breakfast club soundtrack.

Once Wed

June 5, 2014

There comes a point in every small business owner’s journey that you wonder who you are meant to be, what the heart of your business represents, who your target audience is. You question your purpose, and wonder if the decisions you are making are affecting your brand positively.

I’ve always wondered for an outsider looking in at my business, what my brand might look like. I know what certain brands make me feel, and I’ve wondered if I have conveyed what I want my brand to represent well enough. Is my work light enough, vivid, yet airy enough to be considered a part of the Fine Art genre I adore so much?

Enter perspective changing email.

Last week, I received a personal invitation from the editors of Once Wed, one of the top wedding blogs in the country, to join their vendor family.

Once I picked my jaw up off the floor and wiped the tear from my cheek, I responded (trying to keep it classy and reduce my usage of exclamation points) with an emphatic YES! Once Wed is known for their artistic, innovative, beautiful, romantic yet unconventional weddings and has been recognized by major media outlets including Good Morning America and The New York Times. Oh my gosh, joining them as one of their vendors is definitely one of the biggest honors of my career so far.

I am so, so thankful. I am thankful for clients who believe in me and trust me to document their sacred, priceless wedding moments. I am thankful to Once Wed for looking at my work, brand, and the experience I am capable of offering to my clients and viewing it as worthy of their incredible readers. I am so, so thankful for everyone who recognizes my brand as romantic, luminous, fine art.  In my heart of hearts, I owe the most gratitude to The Lord, who is revealing His purpose for me and my business in His time in the most incredible ways that I could have never predicted.
