A little white, wiry haired creature has taken over our apartment.
She’s such a fierce little love fest. And her name is Thea.
Matt and I discussed getting a pet for a long time. We came very close to bringing a kitty home at one point, however, after much debate, we elected not to because of the lack of space for a litter box.
Then in August, my cousin posted that she was looking for a home for her Jack-Russel pups. Jack-Russels! You see, this is the only breed I ever knew growing up. I love these dogs. They are wild, sweet, and fiercely loyal.
We traveled to Dinwiddie just to “take a look.” We saw her, and that was all she wrote.
Thea, short for Dorothea, after the town we stayed in on our honeymoon in St. Thomas.
She’s short and inquisitive. She’s brave and bold. Her bark is fierce, and for now, so are her baby teeth. She chews on anything that sits still. She’s afraid of fire hydrants and the vet. She is under the impression that she is the biggest dog in the world. She has taught us that puppy potty training is no joke. She loves her rope toys, her stuffed owl, and most of all her Mama and Daddy.
We’re so tightly wrapped around those little paws.
OMG I must have that puppy!
