My sorority sisters will always have a special place in my heart.

The time I spent at James Madison University contain some of the most precious memories  thus far. While I was there, Alpha Phi was my life. The friends I made through Alpha Phi are ones who will remain tied to my soul forever, no matter what distance or circumstance comes between us.

Sisters like Alyssa.

When I saw pictures of Alyssa’s proposal pop up on social media, I stalked hard was elated for her, in true sister fashion. She and Daniel, a fraternity man himself (FIJI), are so perfectly paired. It’s apparent to anyone in their presence. They catch a glimpse of each other from across the room, one of them smirks, and the other falls into a fit of laughter. And you can’t help but laugh with them. Their joy is contagious. And their love? So genuine, and only for each other.

Alyssa would do anything for her man, follow him to the ends of the Earth. In August, after they commit their love and their life to one another, Dan is going to begin his first deployment with the US Army, just one week after their wedding.

No matter the distance, he’ll carry her love, carry her heart, wherever he’s called.

In true JMU alumni fashion, we ventured to Harrisonburg to grace the steps of Wilson Hall and the pathways of the arboretum. For this couple, no location could have been more appropriate.

Daniel, you are such a sweet and handsome guy. Thank you for your service to our country! Because of men and women like you, I have the freedom to chase my dream and do what I love. I am forever thankful to you for that. 

Alyssa, words can’t describe how stunning you are going to be on your wedding day! I can’t wait to see the look on Daniel’s face when you walk down the aisle. I am lucky to have you as my sister, and friend! AOE <3
