There are many reasons why I love newborn photography. I have had several conversations with other photographers who say they much rather would do a wedding than portraiture. While I do thoroughly enjoy weddings for a plethora of reasons all their own, I love the intimacy and opportunity to connect with a family one on one that portraiture allows. 

And newborns? In all their sweetness and newness? Wrapped in fluffy pink (or blue) blankets, all warm and snuggly, made from and filled to the brim with love?

I mean, look at Eva. She’s irresistible. 

I met Stephanie at work and we instantly connected. I was elated that she and her husband, Paulo, would be soon welcoming their first child. Stephanie’s disposition is so gentle and warm, she was destined for motherhood. 

And, oh, motherhood looks great on her. She’s a natural.

And Paulo, hooked from the beginning. Totally wrapped around Eva’s finger, the way it should be, if you ask me. Eva is a Daddy’s girl after my own heart! 

What a sweet bundle of joy! 

Steph and Paulo, thanks for being great sports for both sessions, and for welcoming me into your home. I can’t wait to watch both Eva, and your family, grow in love.
