You know that feeling you get when Sinatra’s crooning voice comes pouring through your speakers? Instantly, you are transformed to another time and place, when life was a bit slower, attention was paid to detail, and everything was just a bit more elegant. It’s the type of music that sets the tune at fine restaurants and romantic movies. Maggie & Brian’s wedding day was the live version of this feeling, elegance incarnate.
There is something to be said about the sophisticated ambiance of a city wedding, something I had never really experienced until Maggie & Brian’s wedding day (No offense to my beloved RVA, but city weddings here just don’t compare to DC). From the attire choices, to the setting on M Street in Georgetown at the City Tavern Club, to the live band that played at the reception. Maggie & Brian are the epitome of class, and their wedding day was not only a reflection of their style, but more-so of the love they share for one another, a love that permeates their lives and is shared abundantly throughout their families and friends.
Maggie, you are stunning. Bridal beauty becomes you! Mr. & Mrs. Brian Hetherington! I adored Maggie’s choice in attire for her girls, and these girls were SO fun to be around. What could be more dapper than white dinner coats with black ties? “Yes, you’re lovely. With your smile so warm, and your cheek so soft. There is nothing for me, but to love you. Just the way you look tonight.” Charlotte Jarratt did a phenomenal job putting together everything Maggie envisioned for this elegant, family style dinner. From the candle light to the live floral table runners, everything was exquisite!
Congratulations, Maggie & Brian! You guys are so special to me, and it was an honor to be a part of your wedding day!
