These images are more than photographs from a styled shoot. There is so much more present here than lush florals, delicious edibles, and gorgeous models. The pictures here represent a labor of love, the dreams of creatives and friends coming to fruition.
At the heart of the event, The Shoot Share was an opportunity for photographers of all levels and experience to come together and network, build friendships, and photograph our stylings to use for their portfolios. It was Ashley and my desire to give back to an industry that has given so much to us, and it was through Amanda’s styling genius and attention to detail that it all came together. We have been overwhelmed with the reception of our first Shoot Share event (thanks to the support of our faithful attendees and 100 Layer Cake for featuring the event for publication!) and we are so excited to see what the future has to hold for this side of our businesses.
We learned so much from hosting this event, and although it didn’t go exactly as planned (because as you know, we can’t predict the weather) the event taught us nothing if not how to dance in the rain! Without further adieu, I give you my images from the first edition of The Shoot Share, a Midsummer Night’s Dream. Erica, girl, the event wouldn’t have been without you! Thank you for not only modeling, but for creating all of the amazing florals. Your beauty was a stunner that day, and your work was swoon-worthy! A big thank you to my sweet baby brother for bringing every ounce of Dapper with him to the shoot to play our groom! These ladies ROCKED IT in the rain. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to our attendees for bearing with us as we changed plans and locations mid shoot while dealing with the monsoon that was unexpectedly brought our way on the day of the event. Thanks also to Jessie, you will always be our “Woodland Sprite” to me! Event Design: Amanda of Into It Events
