I really believe I wouldn’t be the artist or entrepreneur I am today if it hadn’t been for the people who have poured into me since I began my journey as a photographer. It has always been a goal of mine to be able to “pay it forward” in a sense and offer advice and guidance for other photographers. When I began shooting film, I fell in love with medium format and have learned so much through trial and error. It was sometime last year that it clicked for me (pun intended) that my passions for film and for teaching could be combined through 1:1 mentoring sessions for aspiring film photographers.
When Kim contacted me about securing her spot for a mentoring session months ago, I was just completely elated (and, truth be told, honored)! If you haven’t seen her work, you should go check her out because it’s absolutely stunning. She has an eye for intimacy and detail, something so valuable in the fine art photography realm. Below are some behind the scenes images from her session, followed by her head shots on film. I can’t wait to see how she uses her Contax to evolve as an artist and business owner!
*Film mentoring sessions consist of 1:1 instructional time and Q&A with Nikki, followed by a styling component with elements to match your brand to create a consistent social media presence, and are finished with head shots on film. Email me at Nikki@Nikkisanterre.com to reserve your session today!*
