That’s the funny thing about time, isn’t it? How as we age, it seems to pass more quickly with each day.

Two years ago today, I officially became incorporated as Nikki Santerre Photography. Two years ago, I embarked on this journey, not knowing where this would lead or what The Lord would have for me.

I have feared failure, I have had doors close, I have fought and cried and exhausted myself.

But you know what? I have also loved, and celebrated, and accomplished. I have dreamed (and dreamed some more). I have gone from the girl who didn’t know what the heck that “aperture” word meant to a full-on hybrid film shooting photographer.

Most importantly, I have met people. Incredibly amazing people. This business has brought talented creatives who stand in my corner and cheer me on and celebrate my victories and hold by hand during the struggles. This business has brought me the sweetest, most incredible clients over the last two years. Couples whose love stories are unique and beautiful and inspiring.

Their stories matter. And by the grace of God, nearly four dozen couples have chosen me among a sea of other talented artists to tell those stories. And I can honestly say it’s one of the greatest honors of my life.

God is so good, and I wouldn’t have had the strength to do any of this without Him. I can’t wait to see what He has in store for the next two years! I know it’s going to be wild, and great, and full of love!
