This time last week, I found myself in this incredible beach house surrounded by people I have looked up to for years. Even though I had been invited, there was still a part of me that couldn’t believe they wanted me there. That I must have ended up there by mistake. Throughout the course of the week, I was able to share my testimony, dreams, fears, and these ten women didn’t laugh at me, didn’t scorn me, they supported me. Through hugs, tears, laughter, and plates upon plates of the best food in The South, we realized that none of us were there by mistake, but by divine providence.
Through our time of devotion last week, I realized this kind of nonjudgemental Love is similar to that shown to us by The Lord. He calls us to His table, He has invited us, though we are broken, to be a part of his kingdom. Isn’t that the place we all want to be sitting?
It wasn’t our love of photography that brought us together. It wasn’t a desire to build our brands our expand our businesses. It was about something so much bigger than all of us.
Katelyn, Jill, Ali, Annamarie, Katie, Anna, Lauren, Tori, Natalie, and Caroline…I send all my love to y’all and can’t wait for our next trip!
