Sometimes, if you want something, you have to shout it out into the Universe to make it happen. Public declaration is a powerful thing.
I have always been a creature of comfort. The thought of “home” is my favorite thing, the notion of being safe, comfortable, surrounded by the familiar and the people you love. I have always been content with staying and working around home, but recently something has shifted in my heart.
I”m wanderlusting something fierce over here, y’all!
I got a taste this year of what it’s like to have an opportunity to travel for my business. It’s thrilling oftentimes puts me out of my comfort zone, but I’ve realized it has helped me push the limits of my art, brought me incredible experiences, and helped me make connections that otherwise might not have been possible.
And y’all, there is SO MUCH to see out there! So much of creation, and art, and humanity. And I want it. I want to hear the stories of new people and capture the beauty of new and inspiring places.
So, here it is. My bucket list. If you know of anyone in these cities who might be engaged, interested in booking a session, or is a creative looking to do editorial work (YES, I WOULD ADORE AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOOT MORE EDITORIALS), please contact me!
Charlottesville and Williamsburg, Va (I have my first winery wedding in Charlottesville next year, and I’m elated! I would love to shoot more of these)
Charleston-Duh, if you know me, you know this is our second home
Beaches in Florida
Anywhere on the coast of New England. Maine, Massachusettes, Vermont
ANYWHERE in California, but particularly San Francisco, Napa Valley, Orange County, and San Diego
The Virgin Islands
London-Particularly Cottswolds outside of London
Italy-Rome, Florence, Venice. Italy is my dream
Looking at it, this is a big, bold list. But I’m at the point in my life and my business that I’m ready for big, bold things. And if you aren’t willing to shout your dreams aloud and chase them fearlessly, than who else is going to do it for you?
