If you find nothing else in life you can depend on, at least there is comfort in knowing Spring will always come. I love waking to that first day when the air is slightly warmer, the smells are slightly sweeter, and the world a bit more bright. Seeing the trees begin to blossom is a reminder that we have not been forgotten. It’s amazing how the earth know exactly when to deliver the new season. Spring always delivers. God always delivers. And that, my friend, is something to stop and be thankful for.
Today was a sleepy head kind of day. A day of rest much needed. For naps, and slumber so deep you wake and feel as if it’s a new day. Refreshed, rejuvenated, revamped. It was glorious to take a breath from our busy lives and give our bodies what they needed.
For Christmas last year, I gave Matt a set of corn-hole boards, handmade with love by my dad. Today being the beautiful day it was, we decided it would be a good time to paint them. And paint we did!
This is the stuff good weekends are made of.
Yesterday, while off on various Saturday adventures, we came across the perfect groomsman gifts for Matt’s fellas. I wouldn’t usually blow a surprise like this, but I’m obsessed with them. And lets be honest, none of Matt’s friends are blog readers.
They’re Vans sunglasses in cobalt blue. We found them at Urban Outfitters. A big thank you to the gentleman who searched for nearly half an hour to find enough pairs for us. Matt’s a huge fan of them too. He’s mildly disappointed I won’t let him have them early. He’s like a child in that way. Holidays and birthdays in our house are going to be interesting for sure!
Things I currently fancy:
Coldplay’s “Paradise”
Anything in the color coral
Corn and black bean salsa, homemade by my Finance
