I love babies.
There’s just something about the sweetness of their soft skin. The joy of holding new life in your hands. The miracle of the innocence of life’s beginning. The coo’s of contentment when consuming a bottle. The subtle rise and fall of their chests as they breathe, the outstretching of arms accompanied by sleepy little yawns.
I’ve always loved babies. It’s just something inside me. A motherly nature. I guess it’s why I chose teaching.
When I walked into the room while Ashley was nursing Nikki and saw her for the first time, I cried. I was just so overcome with emotion that the baby we’d all been waiting for was finally here. And she was perfect.

I see that you used your bed spread, looks good! I love the picture with the wood! So creative. Only you could turn the steps outside your apartment into something beautiful and creative.
Thanks, Alysa! It was definitely a lot of fun working with the baby. And the wood was actually on the balcony. We shot there on a whim because the baby was awake the entire time, and finally fell asleep so we just laid her sleepy head in the basket 🙂
