Lauren was one of my closest friends in middle school, so when she approached me with news that she and Karl would be eloping in October, I was not only elated for them, but I was also honored that they chose me to capture these precious images that would portray the day they became husband and wife.
And oh, the day was perfect. A more picturesque location would have been unimaginable. The air was crisp, the sun was glowing, and Lauren and Karl couldn’t wait to exchange their vows under the changing leaves of an expansive and gorgeous Sugar Maple tree.
I got to spend some time with both Lauren and Karl as they each reviewed their vows. They were both beside themselves with joy and anticipation as they glanced over the words they prepared for each other. I love that about writing your own vows. It turns a traditional aspect of the ceremony into something more personal and intimate.
Lauren, you’re stunning. Beauty exudes from you, inside and out.
True love and glowy light. Two of my favorite things. And when glowy light falls on two amazing people, who just so happen to be in love, it makes me adore what I do even more.
Lauren and Karl, I am ever grateful to have been a part of your wedding day. I pray God will protect your marriage through the trials of life, and that he will bless your hearts with all the joy they could possibly hold!
