Clearly I love any and all things photography related, including iPhone apps.
I was a late-comer to the world of iPhone users, and have only had mine for about two months. Having this technology has changed my life and business in so many ways, some good and some maybe not so much. I love being able to connect so easily with clients and other photographers, however I’m going to really try to work on staying unplugged during the weekend so I can enjoy my time with Matt and our friends and family.
My absolute favorite app has been Instagram. I love having the ability to capture, modify, and share images about daily life via this social media platform. Last Friday, however, a new app was released by one of my favorite companies. Life=changed.
I adore Visual Supply Company. I use some of their presets (while modified to suit my photographic style) in my editing. I love the quality and look of film, and while I’m still trying to learn using my film camera, I can achieve a similar look in my digital work so when I do add film to my business officially the work will be coherent. Last Friday, I received my weekly email update from VSCO, and in it they announced their new iPhone app, VSCO Cam. I immediately downloaded and begin to use the app and am totally enamored with it! This app is going to raise the standard in iPhoneography by allowing it’s users to emulate film through their iPhone images.
This is the first of many VSCO Cam posts, as I’m highly considering starting a new series in which I can share these images on the blog. If you’re an iPhone user, I highly recommend checking it out. You can also automatically share your VSCO Cam images to Instagram to combine the goodness of both apps!
