At the end of 2012, I created a list of things I wanted to accomplish for the business in 2013. I am so glad I did this, because it has helped keep me accountable. One of my big goals for this year was to have my work published on a wedding blog. Little did I know the plans God had for my business and my photography work! I am so honored to have been featured not once, but TWELVE times this year.
100 Layer Cake was kind enough to feature both mine and Ashley’s images from The Shoot Share.
Sara Burnett is one of the most thoughtful people I have ever met, so to have been featured on Burnett’s Boards not once, but three times this year was a huge honor. Sara also chose me as one of her picks for the top wedding photographers of 2013 for The Love Collective, leaving this girl humbled and speechless, y’all!
Ashley & Charlie’s styled anniversary shoot was featured on Burnett’s! Sara also featured Kathleen’s styled bridal portraits! Sara and I also collaborated on an article about tips for planning your engagement session. Alexandra & Eric’s lakefront engagement session images were the perfect pairing for this piece. Monica & Cedric’s engagement session was featured on Aisle Perfect. Swooned Magazine was the perfect home for Charlotte’s swoon-worth bridal portraits! Bisou Bride was kind enough to display Tayler & Dylan’s engagement session. Bayside Bride is one of my favorite wedding publications. I know the girls behind Bayside personally, and Krista, Natalie, Becka, and Maddie are some of the most genuinely beautiful souls I have ever encountered. I am lucky enough to know them, let alone have my work grace their incredible blog. Bayside featured both Mariah’s bridals and Tayler & Dylan’s Hampton Wedding this fall. Borrowed & Bleu also featured Mariah & Forrest’s engagement session.
The ladies at Marry & Bright are friends of mine and just started this Virginia based blog this year. I am so proud of them for embarking on this adventure and can’t wait to see where it takes them! They were kind enough to feature Jordan & Mario’s engagement session.
To the editors of each of these publications: Thank you so much for believing in my work, my heart, my business, and for helping me to meet a huge goal for 2013! I pray for an opportunity to work with each of you again in the new year!
Nikki, you are absolutely one of the sweetest and most genuine people that I’ve gotten to know this year! I’ll be praying for your continued growth and cannot wait to see where 2014 takes you!
It has been SUCH an honor to feature you this year!
Congratulations, you deserve it! Your work is just lovely, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we can pull you away from the weddings for a family shoot in the spring. 🙂
