The busiest season of the year, in both life and in business, has arrived. We wanted to give our fellow creatives a space to reconnect and recharge..to indulge in seasonally focused fare, delicious wine, and communal conversation around the dinner table.
On October 21, in the spirit of creative community, Karen Mordechai (of the revered Sunday Suppers) invited Lauren Hill and myself to host a Richmond installment of her Sobremesa. This dinner series is meant to highlight the subtle art of lingering in intimate conversation at the dinner table when the meal is finished and the plates have not yet been cleared. It was a chance to withdraw from the busyness of life, even if just for an evening!
Sobremesa was held at Lauren’s incredible historic home in historic Oregon Hill with cocktails in the garden, followed by a four course meal with wine pairing. Looking at these images, I can nearly taste the braised beef, fork tender, and perfectly prepared by Anthony Pfab.
