I have FINALLY figured out what you do when life hands you lemons…
Take a picture of it! And don’t put it in your sweet tea. There’s no room for lemons in good sweet tea.
Today was Good Friday, and it was just that. Matt and I renamed today, “Finance Friday.” It was a rare occasion for us, to both be off work and have the opportunity to spend a week day together. We soaked up every minute of it.
We had lunch at Andrades International Restaurant in Old Town Petersburg. Shut. The. Front. Door. Some of the best Spanish cuisine I’ve ever tasted.
Who wouldn’t love a Spanish grilled cheese? Comfort food with a cultural kick.
For Matt, Carne Asada. What can I say, he’s a meat man.
Matt was curious as to my love for instagram. I am constantly stealing his phone to use the app since my phone is a Samsung Cavelady. He wanted to see what it’s all about. The following pictures are the result.
This is the twelfth take. I need to work on my poker face. Giggles McLaugherson over here couldn’t stop laughing.
My finance has a strange sense of humor. The trickster and the oblivious. I was trying to mimic a mannequin in the window, and Matt had other plans for this shot. I didn’t realize what was hanging over my head until I viewed the end result. The caption may as well read, “Open for business, all night long.” Jerk.
We made our way down to peruse the shops of Old Town. The old brick and southern structures made us reminisce of our Charleston trip last Summer.
We set my tripod up to take some pretty rad self portraits. Those to follow on a later post.
Happy Good Friday, everyone.
