July 28th is a special date because not only is it mine and Matt’s wedding anniversary, but it is also of extreme importance to Courtney and her family. You see, Courtney is the third generation in her family to get married on this day. She and Aaron will share an anniversary with both her parents and her grandparents. For this couple, family was the most important thing to them on their wedding day. That, and finally getting to marry their best friend.
Courtney and Aaron are huge UVA fans, so orange and blue was the theme of their day at Celebrations at the Reservoir. Courtney’s Something Old (and borrowed) were her grandparents wedding rings. Courtney knew she wanted her ceremony to be outside by the water. Although right up to the ceremony it was pouring, she decided to wait out the weather. I’m so thankful she did, because the sun came out and the weather couldn’t have turned out more perfect for their sunset ceremony. These girls are so much fun! Aaron’s reaction to seeing his girl! <3 Married! Congratulations, Courtney & Aaron!
These are beautiful!! It looks like an amazing location for a wedding!
These are lovely pictures, very happy bride and groom. I might be a bit biased because I work with the groom :)!
