Leighton Noelle,
Oh, my sweet girl. Where has this year gone? Wasn’t it just yesterday we found out you were coming into this world, the little bitty pretty one who would make my baby sister a mother herself? Wasn’t it only yesterday I walked into that hospital room with tears in my eyes to meet the littlest love of my life?
I still remember the weight of your smallness in my arms, and how it drastically changed something inside my heart.
You’ve rocked us all with your love, the light in your eyes, the way your laughter fills the room.
Lulu, I pray for you, little love. That you will grow to be a strong, confident, selfless human being consumed with love for your savior. That you will learn and laugh, grow and explore. That you will know endless joy despite whatever circumstances life might bring you.
Loving you has been one of the greatest joys of my life thus far. It is the closest to a mother’s love I think I could ever come before actually becoming a mother myself. Thank you for giving me that precious gift, little girl.
Happy Birthday, Lu. I can’t wait to make more memories with you in your second year!
All the love my heart can hold,
Aunt Kiki
Precious!!!
