Madelyn and I are pretty much soul mates. We have so much in common…our love for Christmas, good wine, and JMU to name a few.

Oh, and our fierce passion for the men in our lives.

Madelyn and David’s love for each other radiates from them, almost in contagious fashion. It’s in the way he stares at her, the way she reaches for his hand. She is his rock, and he’s her soft place to fall.

We met in Charlottesville, Madelyn’s home town, at Veritas Winery (my absolute FAVORITE winery in the state. Their Petit Menseng is what started my love affair with viticulture).

It was also where they had one of their first dates. The perfect location.

Amidst the sweet mountain grass, beneath trees on the brink of blossoming, we toasted their love. I prayed with them, that God would bless them the way he has Matt and I with enough love and joy to outweigh the trials and last them a lifetime.

Maybe Madelyn and I both cried…again, soul mates. Emotional, but soul mates none the less. 🙂
