There are times in your life when you meet people and you can feel fate working it’s magic, you just know that they were destined to walk into your life at the very moment it happens. The night I met Monica and Cedric was one of those moments. I walked into Starbucks where we arranged our first meeting and was instantly enthralled in conversations of faith, family, and most importantly Monica and Cedric’s love for one another. Love that is so apparent in their images below.

Cedric proposed to Monica at Richmond’s iconic Canal Walk. An urban engagement session at what they have affectionately deemed their “spot” was perfect for this amazingly faithful couple.

Cedric is so handsome, and his style impeccable.  That one on the right is my favorite. The way she softly rests on his shoulder, precious.  These next two…swoon! This one is such an accurate representation of their swagger, they both have such cool personalities. Monica claimed she was nervous the morning of the shoot, but you couldn’t tell. Her demeanor is always perfectly poised.  Favorites! Monica, you are stunning, and I cannot wait to photograph you in your wedding gown!  QC called, they want y’all on the cover…MODEL STATUS!  This is their spot. The exact place where Cedric proposed.  The next images were taken around Shockoe Bottom. Totally fit the urban flair they were going for.  What a gentleman! Cedric would do anything for his woman.  Monica and Cedric, I had such an amazing time with you guys, and I can’t wait to see you again in September!
