This year has been one of great investment in myself and my business in order to make sure that we can grow to meet the needs of my clients. I have known for a long time that I was outgrowing my Canon 40D. Now, don’t get me wrong, my 40D has been my baby for the last year. It has been an incredible blessing to me and my business, and has helped me to create images I know I will always cherish. Working with a camera that isn’t the highest industry standard has made me push myself and my creativity. It has also helped me to be accepted for featured in five online wedding publications and book ten weddings. I wouldn’t be where I am without my 40D, and I am so grateful for the last year I have spent with it. However, an upgrade has been long overdue.
This weekend, my new Canon 5D Mark II arrived, and I could have hugged the UPS man. I am already seeing incredible results from this camera. The accuracy of the color, the sharpness, the ability to shoot in lower light situations…it’s amazing. I can’t wait to use this to create new loveliness for my clients during the upcoming fall wedding season! I’m already seeing amazing results. The bouquet below was used in my bride, Courtney’s bridals at CNU yesterday. I can’t wait to share the rest at the end of this month after their wedding!
